Guys, this year marks the tenth anniversary of my Graduation in Modern Philology, more simply, in Modern Letters. I can't believe it, 10 years have already passed (and only)! I remember with so much, but a lot of pleasure, the times spent at the University and also all the hours I spent lying on the books. I loved studying, discovering, learning, learning, and I still love it. If only my mind was as fit as I used to be to study for another degree. But I have two challenging children, a husband and a job and, alas, the day is only 24 hours long. All I can do is remember it.
Do you remember the day of your graduation? I remember everything quite clearly: the study, the exams, the commitment and the tiredness, the writing of the thesis, the nights on the books, and when everything was ready to conclude that phase of study, the fateful question: what to wear on the day of the graduation? What is the right graduation dress?
The Graduation Dress
First of all, it is always good to choose an elegant outfit, more or less formal, favoring even the traditions that the single university or faculty has in this regard. In any case, being chic is a must: for you undergraduate students it's a great day and all eyes will be on you. Do you want to look bad?
Secondly, remember that the right graduation dresses for the thesis discussion are those that make you feel at ease. So choose a skirt or trousers according to your personal style and the dress is neither too tight nor oversized. Colors are also important. Soft colors are always preferable, but also white graduation dresses e black graduation dresses are very chic.
Below is a my selection to give you inspiration. You will see that I have deliberately inserted some bon-ton style clothes: they soften the tones of formality, they are feminine, discreet and chic. The sheath dress, as well as the suit (skirt or trousers), is a timeless evergreen.

[ITA]Ragazzi, quest'anno ricorre il decimo anniversario della mia Laurea Magistrale in Filologia Moderna, più banalmente, in Lettere moderne. Non ci posso credere, sono passati già (e solo) 10 anni! Ricordo con tanto, ma tanto piacere i tempi passati all'Università e anche tutte le ore trascorse china sui libri. Amavo studiare, scoprire, conoscere, imparare, e lo amo tutt'ora. Se solo la mia mente fosse in forma come una volta tornerei a studiare per un'altra laurea. Ma ho due figli impegnativi, un marito e un lavoro e, ahimè, la giornata è composta solo di 24 ore. Non mi rimane che ricordare.
Vi ricordate il giorno della vostra laurea? Io ricordo tutto piuttosto chiaramente: lo studio, gli esami, l'impegno e la stanchezza, la stesura della tesi, le notti sui libri, e quando tutto era pronto per concludere quella fase di studio, la fatidica domanda: che cosa indossare il giorno della laurea? Qual è il vestito giusto per la laurea?
L'abito per la discussione della tesi di Laurea
Innanzitutto, è sempre bene scegliere un outfit elegante, più o meno formale, assecondando anche le tradizioni che in merito ha il singolo Ateneo o facoltà. In ogni caso essere chic è d'obbligo: per voi studentesse laureande è un gran giorno e tutti gli occhi saranno puntati su di voi. Volete per caso far brutta figura?
In secondo luogo, ricordate che gli abiti per la laurea giusti per la discussione della tesi sono quelli che vi fanno sentire a vostro agio. Quindi scegliete gonna o pantalone secondo il vostro personale stile e che l'abito non sia né troppo stretto né oversize. Anche i colori sono importanti. I colori tenui sono sempre preferibili, ma anche il bianco e il nero sono molto chic.
